1. Undergraduate Council Minutes from 3/6/09 - Passed (Sullivan-Gonzalez/Rholes) 2. Undergraduate Council Minutes from 4/3/09 - Passed (Hopkins/Burnham) 3. Transfer Equivalencies were discussed. The latest report on outstanding equivalencies was distributed. There are still about 200 missing agreements. 4. Council Member Reports - a. Honors College - over minimum threshold in admissions, 230 have been accepted b. Information Technology - Dr. Gates discussed upgrades, email being down, SAP upgrades, initiative to establish optical fiber ring, and effort to update undergraduate and graduate admissions process c. Outreach - encouraged by activity on all campuses d. Library - 24-hour access beginning Monday, 4.27.09 e. Chitwood - inquired about linking mid-term grade reporting to Blackboard. Dr. Gates indicated that there are some challenges to overcome (when are they linked, at what static point in time, whether all faculty will use, etc.) and there would need to be additional discussions to address these before implementation could be considered. f. Dean Hopkins - reported on status of two searches he is chairing - Engineering Dean and Journalism Director g. Engineering - construction of the CME has started. Open house for Civil Engineering Lab at the Former Walmart was held last week. h. Business - Enrollment is up and quality of the applicants is also up. They hosted their advisory board last week. i. Provost Stocks - The Faculty Senate has passed a resolution to implement +/- grading on campus. This will be routed to the appropriate councils for consideration. Meeting was adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
