1. Ms. Penny Rice gave a demonstration of the latest technologies in eTextbooks (e.g., Kno, CourseSmart, Inkling, iBooks, Kindle, and Nook). Provost Stocks asked that a working group be formed to plan a University strategy for eTextbooks. 2. Masters of Interdisciplinary Studies was discussed. It was postponed (Hopkins/Cyree) to the September meeting so that deans could discuss the proposal with their faculty. 3. Child Advocacy and Play Therapy Institute (School of Education). This Limited Scope Institute was proposed. Robin Buchannon (ORSP) raised a number of issues that need to be resolved before the Institute can begin doing business. David Rock committed to work through those issues. A motion to approve (Rock/Hopkins) given that David Rock would work with ORSP to resolve all related issues passed.
