Dr. Ken Sufka, Chair of the Faculty Senate was present to discuss modifications to the grading scale to include + and -. Dennis Pickens, ASB Director of Academic Affairs was present to hear Dr. Sufka's comments. Dr. Jeff Hallam was present to represent the School of Applied Sciences.

1. The Graduate Council discussed the +/- grading scale and voted to endorse (7 for, 1 against, and 2 abstaining) in principle, the Faculty Senate plan with the understanding that the plan specifics have yet to be established. 2. Dr. Eftink informed Council that he is appointing a task force to develop a plan to allow for electronic submission of theses and dissertations and asked the Council for volunteers to serve on the task force. 3. Dr. Eftink informed the Council that a new on-line application has been developed and is operational. Additional plans are to create an online process for soliciting letters of recommendation.
