Dr. Ivo Kamps was present to entertain questions about the proposal from the English department to restrict enrollment in their 600 level courses to English and Southern Studies graduate students. Ms. Bethany Cooper was present to entertain questions about the proposed changes to the MHA degree program.
Additional Minutes Notes
The proposal for the Ed.S. degree in Counseling- Play Therapy Track was tabled to allow the department to clarify admission requirements. The request from English to restrict accesses to 600 level courses was denied as currently written. After discussion, Dr. Kamps agreed to redesign the proposal to address Graduate Council concerns. The Council asked English to carefully consider which courses should have access limited, and for those courses to add the statement that students outside of English and Southern Studies may be added by permission of the instructor.
