Under item 638022020 Proposal on Grading for Spring 2020, the following motions were made and approved: Motion: To approve mandatory pass/fail implementation for all JD and LLM Spring 2020 courses in the Law School. Passed unanimously. Motion: That we use for graduate courses the same system and language as the Council of Academic Administrators implemented for undergraduate courses. Any publications explaining the above options must include the following information: “Graduate students are encouraged to speak with their advisor about the implications of changing letter grades. The University cannot guarantee that the P or Z grade will meet requirements for licensure, credentialing, or future employment. In addition, financial aid eligibility may be affected.” Passed with 1 nay. Motion: To insert “not offered by the Law School” into the previous motion after “graduate courses”. Passed unanimously.
